Leadership

At M.A.K., leadership is about servant leadership—leading from the heart and focusing on how others feel. We have two leadership programs: Team Zenith and FIST, each designed to match different levels of experience and maturity. Team Zenith is for MTC students who are teachable and passionate about helping others and learning to enhance technique, teamwork, and leadership. FIST members, selected by invitation, bring passion and are deeply involved in teaching and mentoring. These teams embody the idea that it’s not about us; it’s about serving others with heart.

Team Zenith membership is open to Dragons, Karate Kids, and Teens. To join, students must be teachable and have a heart for helping others. The team focuses on enhancing technique, teamwork, and leadership skills, preparing students for more advanced leadership roles. 

The FIST program (Future Instructors and Student Teachers) is a highly selective, invitation-only leadership program. Members are trained in advanced teaching techniques and leadership skills to assist students across all M.A.K. programs. Wearing a red jacket, FIST members are distinguished as qualified and personally selected by the management team. Their role is vital to the school’s culture, as they help guide and teach with the same impact as instructors. Membership is by invitation only and based on need, purpose, and timing.
