Sports teaches you character. It teaches you to play by the rules.
It teaches you to know what it feels like to win and lose.
It teaches you about life.
BILLIE JEAN KING
The Teen Tang Soo Do (TSD) program is designed to develop both physical power and control, emphasizing the effectiveness and efficiency of each technique for self-defense, with the goal of ending confrontations quickly and under control. Progression through the program follows a structured path through the GUP (color belt) and Dan (Black Belt) ranks, with students earning stripes each month and meeting a minimum of 8 classes per month to qualify for graduation. These stripes, based on MAK's 6 Qualities of a Champion, ensure proficiency, while the attendance requirement supports "time in the belt" for rank progression. The focus is on mastering the Tang Soo Do lifestyle rather than rushing to a black belt. Alongside the essential TSD training, the program features a weekly Krav Maga session lasting 20-30 minutes, covering the complete Krav Maga self-defense curriculum without any belt testing. Additionally, a comparable 20-30 minute segment on Ed Parker Kenpo is included, augmenting the program while also minimizing the need for Kenpo belt testing. To complement traditional martial arts training, the program integrates Hyper Pro training, Gymnastic Parkour, and Cross-Training, offering students an opportunity to build agility, strength, and versatility. This cross-disciplinary approach is supported by a strong community, fostering a well-rounded fitness and martial arts experience.

Teen Nights
Get Connected.
At McCoy's Action Karate, Teen Nights are all about fun, freedom, and self-expression in a safe, welcoming environment. These nights give teens the chance to unwind, bond with friends, and enjoy a variety of activities like games, pizza, Nerf battles, and video games. It's a space where teens can be themselves, explore their leadership skills, and take charge of the evening's activities. The relaxed atmosphere allows them to connect with others while developing confidence and independence, all while being supported by a positive and caring community. Teen Nights are designed to let teens express who they are, have a blast, and feel empowered to lead and collaborate in a judgment-free zone.
